Does Microblading hurt?

Pain during the treatment is relative but a light anaesthetic is used after the first pass in the skin to completely eliminate pain during the treatment, meaning the first part of the treatment can be slightly uncomfortable.

What is used for Microblading?

The treatment is performed with a sterile and disposable micro blade using the pigments of the highest standard.

Pigment

The pigment is matched to your natural brow hair. If you think your pigment is to dark do not try fade it yourself be patient. Wait 7 days until it fades naturally.

Skin Types

Oily skin types. The oilier the skin type the shorter the pigment retention. It will fade quicker and you will need more touch ups. The hair strokes may not appear as crisp as on a normal or dry skin type.
Normal/dry skin types. These skin types are the best skin types for microblading.

Touch Up

A touch up correction treatment is done one month after the treatment as 10-15% of the hair strokes are lost after the first treatment. Pigments will appear very dark during the first 5-7 day’s. The brows will lose up to 40% of its intensity.

Annual Boost

Refreshment of pigment is 10-12 months depending on skin type. If the skin type is oily then can be as early as 6 months. Exposure to strong sunlight and sweating can also effect the retention.

Prepping for Microblading

Do not wax tint or perform electrolysis one week before microblading.
Do not tan 2 weeks prior or have sunburnt face.
Do not have facial peels or laser 2 weeks prior to microblading.
Do not have botox or fillers 2 weeks prior to microblading.
Do not drink alcohol 24-48 hrs before microblading as this can cause excessive bleeding.
Do not consume coffee before procedure.
Do not take aspirin or ibruprofen for pain relief, this will thin the blood causing excessive bleeding.

Aftercare

Aftercare for this treatment is very important. If client fails to look after the microbladed brows the whole treatment can be a waste of money. An aftercare care sheet, wipe and balm will be given to you after your treatment.
Do not get the Brow area wet for 10 days.
Apply skin candy as directed.
Do not pick the area.
Do not wear make up for 10-14 days.
Avoid sun exposure.
Avoid facial steam and sauna.
Avoid sleeping face.

How successful the treatment will be depends on the individual, the skin type, the post treatment care and aftercare so providing a guarantee for the treatment is not possible.

What is the difference between microblading and Micropigmentation semi permanent make with a machine?

The main difference between the machine method and microblading is the tools and needles used. One uses a machine, where as  microblading uses a hand held blade.

Because it requires a hand-held blade, it is far more accessible to intricately mimic the exact direction of the clients natural hair growth. The pigment is placed by the blade into a higher layer of the skin compared to that of machine tattooing, meaning the final result is less permanent However, everyone holds pigment differently so this varies from person to person as it is effected by a wide variety of factors such as skin type, skin care, sun exposure, immune system, etc.

Microblading is natural

This skilled treatment uses microfine blades to create hair-like strokes which are incredibly lifelike. With an experienced technician who is able to create a flawless shape and select the right pigments, you can expect unbelievably realistic results as it Fills in Sparse Areas.

The hair mimicking ability of microblading makes it a suitable treatment for touching up sparse brows. As the technique essentially ‘builds’ brows, it’s ideal for enhancing what’s already there, adding more shape and definition.

Microblading is Not Suitable for All Skin Types

Unfortunately, those prone to oily skin won’t get the best results from microblading. If your t-zone is known to shine up during the day this is a sign that microblading may not offer the longevity of results that you’re after.
